In the 5th consecutive year of Epson’s awards that celebrate the success of its ColorWorks partners, and new to 2023 its mPOS partners as well, Electronic Reading Systems (ERS) has been awarded two of the three awards dedicated to ColorWorks, namely Partner of the Year and Project of the Year. As the leading POS (point of sale) printer manufacturer in Europe and the leading on-demand inkjet label printer manufacturer, Epson created the awards to stimulate growth and competitiveness in these product areas across food & beverage, retail, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, hospitality and more.
The ColorWorks Partner of the Year is awarded to the Epson reseller with the highest sales volume of ColorWorks hardware and demonstrates the continued success from ERS in the label printing market. Project of the Year Award is designated to a sale of ColorWorks hardware that represents high revenue, robust collaboration with Epson and the end-user customer, and the environmental savings achieved by shifting the customer from outsourced to on-demand labelling.
Although ERS is unable to disclose the name of the respective organisation from its Project of the Year win, it has revealed that the organisation is an enterprise business within the events industry. The project resulted in the installation of 60 ColorWorks printers being installed after a collaboration that took many months to finalise.
Steve Gibbons, Head of Sales at ERS, commented on the win: “We’ve been a ColorWorks partner of Epson’s since 2017, not long after they started really disrupting the market with on-demand colour label printers, and we’re delighted to have picked up two awards this year. Our highly motivated team combines broad industry knowledge and an ethos of putting the customer interests at the heart of each transaction, and its thanks to their hard work and dedication that’s helped put us ahead in these awards.
“ERS specialises in both labels and POS and works closely with software vendors to tailor solutions that meet exacting requirements from the customer, so it’s key that we’re able to offer the full arsenal of printing solutions available on the market. Epson has really stood out as a vendor in recent years, not least because of its unique product expansion within both label and mobile POS printing, but because of the close collaboration they extend us as an indirect sales company, which is designed to optimise our success.”
David Spratt, Head of Sales for Business Systems at Epson UK, commented: “ERS was awarded the Sustainability Award in last year’s awards thanks to its initiative for planting trees with the sale of each ColorWorks printer, appropriate given the reduced waste and CO2 emissions achieved when switching to on-demand label printing. This is the first year ERS has won the ColorWorks Partner of the Year Award, which just shows how versatile the opportunities in this market are – it’s anyone’s game. FY23 is a brand-new year and I’m excited to see the continued success from our partners unfold as we look forward to the next awards in March 2024.”
